About Sarah Shephard
Sarah Shephard is Features Editor at Sport magazine, where she has been working since October 2006, joining as a staff writer with a particular focus on athletics, football, tennis, boxing and health/fitness. Since then, she has overseen the magazine’s coverage of the London 2012 Olympics and been responsible for securing and interviewing cover stars including Usain Bolt, Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Bradley Wiggins, Serena Williams, and many more.
She also edited three editions of Sport Woman; a nine page supplement to Sport magazine. In December 2012 she was named Writer of the Year at the UTV Media Awards. In the same month, she was commissioned by Orion to ghost write the autobiography of British gymnast, Louis Smith. The book was published in July 2013 and reached number eight on the Sunday Times‘ bestseller list in its first week of publication.
With a keen interest and knowledge base in health and fitness as well as sport, she has also contributed features to The Guardian and consumer magazines such as Men’s Health, Men’s Fitness, Runner’s World and Optima.
